- Holy fucking hell on wheels is that guy handsome or what?mg33
- Be honest, if you woke up to find him naked in your room, beckoning you to pull the covers back and let him in...mg33
- just so he could warm up on a cold night - nothing sexual - just human warmth...mg33
- you'd do it, right?mg33

^ They had a description of his car and knew he was in the area. Listen to the police scanner.
- Frosty_spl0
In the opening scene, the cops didn't see him, but they chased him anyway.
- It was close to being great, but a lot of it threw me off.

well shot.

I like it a lot. Good film, shows LA real nice, well shot, nice motifs of color on the traffic lights etc, good film. It;s not true Romance, but the director's not Tarantino. Gosling's good in it too, doesn't say too much which is the mark of a talented actor
- Tarantino didn't direct True Romance. He wrote it.monospaced

People either really love this movie or really hate it.

- at least in this film you care more about the characters and the violence is more justifiedmonospaced
- no way, already been done. who can feel empathy for christian slater anyways?doesnotexist
- I don't see much similarity. But then again haven't seen True Romance since I was a teenager:)ukit2

Rented this last night. I really loved the homage to '80s cool with the music/montage fade-through cuts between scenes when he's driving. This extends into the rest of the film, from the typography to the clothing, cars and even environment. It was nothing near True Romance when it comes to cinematography, dialogue, LA glam or style, but it's close. Even the violence didn't make as much sense here. The soundtrack was the tits though and overall I loved it. Unfortunately it's not a watch-again type of film.
- the elevator scene was over the top, unnecessary.ernexbcn

I thought it was average, the only thing I dig from it is the soundtrack.

Maybe i missed something.
The movie is boring.
Image wise, it's nice.
Music is horrible, with dumb lyrics.
Acting was,...weird.
I didn't liked it.

If you liked this one, check out Bronson by the same director.
Actually the earlier Pusher films are good too - Danish gangster movies:)
- Didn't know Bronson was the same director. I like him!orrinward2
- He also directed Valhalla Rising. Which is amazing and brutal.Bets

I was convinced it was set in the 80's until I saw a mobile phone.

Loved it too, and especially for it's reserve which in turn makes the violence all the more intense. I became obsessed with the blue and orange palette in nearly all the shots, but it's beautifully shot. Bring on the Logan's Run remake...
- yeah, i agree. the first real violent scene is when he stomp the guy in the lift. so intense...sine
