Three main cms / site systems. Are there any others worth trying for folio / shop site? Not that into c a r go. WP I like but I also like the simplicity of indexhibit + a blog

concrete5; and doing something c4rg0- or Indexhibit-style is dead easy.

I messed with kr ap, carg0, and a few others. my favorite by far is beh4nce pro site. The UI is amazing and there are so many good features. Like blog integration, and syncing with your beh4nce profile. project cover effects are awesome. I highly suggest a trial... after 20 minutes of messing with it I switched over.
cons: no html/css access yet (although I do not need/want it) but they are working on adding this. Also no mobile/iphone version of your portfolio yet. but they are quick with adding features, and the support is really good as well

I was looking into B3hance Prosite, but – like with c4rgo – I'm not comfortable with all of my files being on a cloud server that I can't access at the root level. It's an extension of my dislike of cloud apps and cloud computing in general. I like having complete control over installation, hosting, tweaking and all that stuff.
God, I'm paranoid. ¬_¬

"all my files" really? all it is are .jpg's of your work and .pngs of your logo. I hate cloud computing as well.
I found that it's necessary to be nose deep in style sheets/html/js for your clients and I found that pro site is a nice way to take a vacation from all that– for yourself. so easy to upload projects, change margin sizes by sliders, rearrange content holders by dragging. the UI is amazing
