Real football (soccer) is boring as shit. Most of American football is pretty boring, but soccer takes the cake. It's like hockey, but for pussies.
Yeah, American Football should be called handball or whatever, but it's not. So, deal with it.

Indeed, a hypocrisy and I am starting to hate American "Football", you don't use your feet to kick the ball except for about :30 seconds of the entire game or to score if you are desperate late, everything else is gimmees, punts and kickoffs. Rugby is a far better sport, with non-sissyfied athletes and far less primadonnas. It's also far more gentlemen-like.
As for sawker, or football itself, get real. Although Team USA has been making a good show of it lately.

they could also compare the faces and ears of players.

I think the real difference has actually been omitted. The impacts taken in a match. Without padding and helmets rugby players also get 'hit' about 10 times as much.

er...
"People are a little bit turned off by the word 'rugby' because there's no 'ball' in it, like basketball, football, baseball and softball. And for the sport to be named after a school? That's bizarre, but most people don't know that."
- golf? tennis? hmm not team sports i suppose. Lacross? hockey?Projectile
