^ The same can be said of any "starchitect". They have a style they're known for, so that's what their clients ask for.

Her work has come a long way. I can recall buying my first El Croquis with her work, at that point there was only the Vitra Fire Station (which is great in person) and an apt. building.
Personally, as an architect, I found her work to be the most inspiring and influential for my own work.

I studied architecture for a while, earned a minor in it actually. As I was getting going in it, you aspire to stuff like this, but it's like becoming a famous musician: fat chance. Becoming a big, well-known architect like her, or Gehry comes with establishing a certain style and method. It may get old, but step back and realize that the architecture they come up with may not happen otherwise. It's not like music where a band can have a decent amount of money to create an album and try so hard to be different with it., but we're talking high six-figures or low millions or something. The amount of money that goes into "starchitecture" still blows my mind sometimes. That any of this stuff gets built is amazing.
