Hey guys I'm traveling to Austin and Dallas for a couple of days (Aug 10th, 11th and maybe 12th) to do some screenings but I'm sure there will be some downtime here and there. Anyone in those cities?
hit up BonSeff
get ready for 101-105 temps all day, everyday.
Welcome to the drought.
I'd make quick work of Dallas if I were you, and head straight to Austin.
holler at me - i'll buy a few rounds. :)
I didn't really even think about the fact that the rest of the country is suffering from extreme heat. Ugh/
Just found out I'm staying at Hotel Saint Cecilia in Austin. I've never been to that hotel or Austin for that matter. Anyone ever stayed there? Any tips for eats and drinks in the area is appreciated :D
there's plenty of museums and galleries in Dallas if that's what you're into.
There's also plenty of cheap, good eatin' here in Dallas. Skip the Tex-Mex shit. Find the shittiest looking, least English speaking Mexican hole-in-the-wall and eat up. Just had some delicious street stand style tacos at a walk up window at a gas station called fuel town near downtown. A buck fifty each, grilled onions, limes, salsa, damn tasty. I still have some shredded beef in my teeth.
Iron Works BBQ in Austin. DO IT!
South Congress shopping. DO IT!
Take bathing suit and get in a refreshing swim at Barton Springs in Zilker Park. DO IT!
BonSeff or anyone else in Austin -- I'll be pretty free except for a planned lunch with a friend. I need somewhere to camp out and maybe work a little and hang out a little. Anyone have a relaxed office space I can crash after lunch until 5 or so? Hit my email! :D
Austin ppl -- I'm just gettin my day together for tomorrow but I dont need to head to the airport until 5ish pm. Hit my email if you're in town. I'm definitely trying to waste some time before i leave and i have a good chunk of hours between morning and departure. Hollr at yer girl! :D
