If this is ok...
I'm leaving my job as an illustrator for a large company to go freelance - is it ok for me (or my new agent) to show the work I've done for the company in mine or the agents online portfolio?
I'm in the UK and I've heard that it's legally fine but just wondering if anyone has run into problems with this?

Just ask them, and tell them you'll credit 'created while @......'

I'd check your contract with your company. I know folks at an old company I worked for years ago (I'm in the US btw) sent letters out to ex-employees to take down work that they did for them when they decided to go freelance. If you don't have a contract, I'd say just mention that you did the work while working for the company and put it on your site -- nothing they can really do if they don't have a contract, you can probably even claim it as your own if youy want to go that far.

Thanks, I will do that. I can't really ask them though as they're not too happy about me going and were talking about exclusivity on some of my styles which I don't feel is very fair on my chances of income...
