I need to get a lot of work photographed for my online and printed portfolio. Wondered what the best way to achieve the exact same results as on the link below:

Are you looking for people to recommend photographers mate? Or just a how to on the process of photographing work.

You could always ask the guy who did it, he's a QBNer.

either really, would prefer the how to approach to save money!

This photography is actually quite simple. You just need a decent camera and some natural light. Take a shot standing up, framing the piece at an angle and then clean it up in Photoshop.

not got much natural light mono, plus i have loads to do so need consistent light
- The two live surface links I posted will get you set up for the exact same results as your sample, as it uses those images. The graphics are then overlaid on top of them.ian

- those only work if your work is a concept and fits the livesurface templates, which never happensmonospaced

Natural lighting, and lots of it.
Decent camera.
Find a nice surface.
Photoshop: levels, contrast, maybe some color correction

Set-up a small studio at home/studio + Black/dark grey background + Test with lighting (daylight or controlled) + varied shot options + PS = portfolio shots! It really is just trial and error if you're DIY.
Alternatively, get a mate who's a studio snapper to help you set-up and do a weekend blitz.- If you are DIY make sure you use the right lens, you don't want everything distorted (spreads for example).goldieboy
