mailchimp does seem to be best. We use pure360 at work It's alright if you're happy to design and code your own newsletters.

Totally MailChimp... for these reasons.
• You can create your own or use great templates
• You can test them all for free using the built in Litmus email client checker
• You can get great google analytics
• Everything can be sent to the client for checking and testing without them realising it's MailChimp
• AND BEST OF ALL, YOU GET A FREE MAILCHIMP TEE FOR JOINING UP!

Campaign Monitor.
Very easy to build templates for, very easy for clients to use, can be whitelabeled, also has litmus built in, excellent stats, and a crazy cool worldview so you can watch as people open your newsletter.Plus they've got some big improvements coming on Monday: http://www.campaignmonitor.com/b…

Campaign Monitor - no mandatory subscription fees

Yeah I dig Campaign Monitor. All these "friendly" sites with their mascots and shit can fuck off. Seriously.
