Well, regarding Mexico, They sent a U19 or U21 team. So in another words they didnt want to go far in this competition. They had a stronger team for the Gold cup.
Now to the quarter finals we go!
- <- yeah. Concacaf didn't allow them to send a senior team.VectorMasked

Brazil sent a under 21 team to Copa America twice and won it. Even beat Mexico and Argentina in the final.

C'mon... stop it with that U22 bullshit excuse! There are lots of players playing this tournament in this category. Not only do they play in some of the best teams in the world, but they're playing this tournament without any problems or excuses... Some of these players... Neymar, Ganso, Pastore (hasn't played much), Alexis Sanchez, Joel Campbell, Lucas, etc...
- You guys contradict yourselves... they're too young to play... yet they're not too young (17) to be World Champions. Pick one...OSFA

Well, I guess they had more important things like partying and spending time with pros that playing football. I dont think their attitude was in the tournament.
And comparing Brasil with Mexico in football is like comparing USA with Mexico in Basketball. So Brasil Under whatevers will always beat Mexico
And Neymar, Ganso havent proved much so far... Alexis Sanchez had shown a few moments of nice football and Pastore hasnt planyed much.

^^^
It's totally true that Brazil is a better team. It's not even up for discussion... however the team that makes Brazil struggle the most is Mexico. Mexico's possession style completely nullifies Brazil's offense. So no... it's not like comparing unitedstatian basketaball with Mexico's.A knowledgeable sawker connoisseur knows that Mexico has Brazil's number in the last decade.
Since 1999 the record in official matches (tournaments with senior players): Mexico 6 wins, Brazil 2 wins.

- I think from that time range you are wrong. According to FIFA http://www.fifa.com/…numero1
- he is probably counting from August 1999 :-Pd_gitale

- Hahaha he must be!
numero1 - hahaha, so Mexico is the only team that can give Brazil trouble??? Have you ever watched the South American World Cup Qualifiers????OSFA
- World Cup Qualifiers? When everyone is playing their ace game??? Not for nothing these qualifiers are known to be the toughest in the worldOSFA
- the toughest in the world.OSFA
- of course I'm counting since 1999. That's why the argument is about the "last decade".VectorMasked
- A lot of people know about the funny thing between argentina, mexico and brazil.VectorMasked
- In the last decade Brazil struggles with Mexico, Mexico with Argentina and Argentine with Brazil.VectorMasked

mexico plays well against Brazil, i dont think they are that far apart actually... true Brazil has traditionally had better individual talent but they certainly dont have mexicos number. Argentina has mexicos number.
I will say that the Brazil thats playing right now in copa america is not better than the mexico that won the gold cup. thats just my opinion though.
- Yes, I agree the team that brasil has for this copa america is one in transition. I think it is a little bit better.numero1

"i dont think they (Mexico & Brazil) are that far apart actually..." -sofakingbanned
If you really, truly think this... there's not much left to talk about.
- think so? im saying when they play each other. brazil is much better at competitionssofakingbanned
- Oh, OK...
OSFA - btw, did you hear what Hugo Sanchez said? He said that in all America (N,S and C) the ranking of teams is:OSFA
- Brazil, Mexico... the rest.OSFA
- THIS is what I am talking about...OSFA
- He said Mexico is currently 3rd behind Argentina and Uruguay. That's a stretch...sofakingbanned
- If Mexico would have taken a strong side and did well in CA then ok...sofakingbanned
- That's not what he said dude. And still... Delirious...OSFA
- That's what he said last night while I was watching the game, the other commentator asked him to clarify lolsofakingbanned
- OSFA0
Colombia beat Argentina 5-0 once... in Argentina! Yet you don't hear Colombians saying they are better... you have to be realistic and enjoy & support your team for what it is. No need to glorify and create false idols...
- You can't beat a team like Brazil 5-8 times and consider yourself same or superior...OSFA
- well, i currently dont see Brazil beating mexico. do you? thats all im sayingsofakingbanned
- clearly brazil is capable of doing much more against tougher teams and winning cupssofakingbanned
- OSFA0
And since we're living off memories and past games...

So now shit really goes down, my heart is still with Argentina, Chile is Strong and Venezuela can be a Revelation.
Brazil in the other hand is always a string contender and with Neymar, and pato being the Cracks they are, shit can happen any minute.
Futbol is beautiful and I might be Bipolar when it comes down to shit like this.
Vamos argentina!, Messi Grande, Kun Inmenso!!! Pipita we love you!!!!
YEAH!

- Hahaha bipolar man! Futbol is beautiful! :)numero1
- OSFA0
I really don't think Argentina is gonna make it. BTW, Argentina vs Uruguay coming up!!! Maybe Semis... but that's it
Chile is looking good, Paraguay is also a strong team and is gaining momentum, Brazil is ALWAYS a favorite and last but definitely not least.... Colombia. It's been a while sine I see a Colombian team playing like this!
