For those of you who are members, the once familiar interface has been decimated and reduced to such horrendous useabilty conventions as hovering to scroll through movies. You can't even view a sortable list anymore! Oh Netflix! What have thou done!??

I find the title and the rating more important than burying it in a painfully slow rollover. Great that netflix is trying to utilize more space but the scrolling rollover carousel kinda made me nauseous trying to track the movies. I have to rollout to stop it and then roll in.
This does seem like it could be an appropriate solution for an ipad If I could control the carousel motion and speed by dragging, but for a mouse it's not so good.
I'd like to think that there are people a lot smarter than me that have put a lot of thought into this redesign and have user tracking data to support and justify their decisions but it does look heavy handed.
I'm gonna have to say that I'm very disappointed and I would really like my old UI back please.

I read so many of the comments on their blog on my way home tonight. Who wants to bet that it's changed in a week? That blowhard fluff story on why they changed it and what people gain was hilarious.

checking out the new design, it says on my profile I have a DVD at home since 09/21/10.
I thought I had changed to watch instant mode only.

Not a big fan of it. Harder to browse stuff and the removal of sortable lists sucks balls.
I use this site a lot for finding streaming stuff:
http://instantwatcher.com/Way better (but uglier) than Netflix's, IMO.

Awesome. Now its slightly less enjoyable to browse the 50 movies on the Canadian site.

I like it. They're thinking ahead. The mouse is going to slowly fade away in the next few years while more screens become touch based.
