Designer Riccardo Tisci tackles a precarious topic in VISIONAIRE‘s upcoming issue #60 simply titled “Religion.” Created in collaboration with Givenchy, the issue falls in line with Tisci’s own profound interest in religion and its current role in not only culture but fashion as well. The once practicing Roman Catholic has prepared an issue of full excitement and great photography in conjunction with some familiar “saints” including Carine Roitfeld as seen here in an image shot by Karl Lagerfeld. The topic of religion doesn’t come cheap as the single issue is available for pre-order now at VISIONAIRE, with a retail price of $425 USD.

well, the last image that didn't load isn't SFW.
Definitely looking to get this one. I got 58 - spirit - and was a bit let down. A lot of pomp and flowers. But this looks great.

Just so you know, Visionaire 61 will also be coming out soon, and the subject matter for that one is those static electricity shocks you get from the perfume counters in old apartment stores. I'm going have photographs and essays by some fo the top people in there, and then get Jean Paul Gaultier to do some sketchbook drawings of electric shocks, and I'm going to include a free CD on the cover with Beth Ditto and Ladio Gaga performing acapella versions of popular electro classics.

The format will be shiny junkmail paperstock, with perforated vouchers for pizza discounts, and all copy will be typeset in a font that really looks like an old carousel letterpress font.

    • Is it hard being so cynical and bitchy all the time?identity
    • No, its almost laughably easy. I just make it look hard. That's the skill, see.Horp

    • It wasn't really meant to be cynical, just a bit of fun, but it was counter-productive and all you wanted was to discuss...Horp
