google apps mail on MT

Gents, have any of you tried to set up a google apps mail account with your own domain hosted in media temple?
It does not matter how many times I try it never bloody works. If any of you managed to do it successfully and can give a hand, it will be kindly appreciated.

Fill the domain MX records with Google server addresses as per instructions. If you don't know what it is, have the support do it. Good hosting companies will know the addresses when you tell them you want to use Google Apps.

yeah, but this is MT. Their support is rather... ehm... limited.
I reckon it should work, but I tried changing the MX records before and the only thing I got was bounces on the address.: (

It's pretty painless. Make sure you read the comment where the guy talks about inputting the google recommended CNAME values!
