I laid down £40 for a new set of cartridges for my Canon ip4700 inkjet and it seems to lose ink even when I've hardly used it. I mean colour cartridges are close to empty and since I bought the set, I've only been printing out in black. Pure greyscale, not mixed black. Anyone heard of this problem or knows what the cause is?

Jets clean themselves by using ink, thats the only other reason ink would vanish other than printing.

It seems to do that when I switch it off and back on again. On the other hand, it also seems to do it when I print anything and haven't switched it off for a while so I can't win!
- I know it needs to be done once in a while but I'd rather do it when NEEDED rather than for the sake of it.kalkal

Anyone know of a laser printer that's good for colour photos? I don't...

http://www.zdnet.com/reviews/fil…I think laser printers with glossy laser photo paper (you can't use inkjet glossy paper, it can melt) might be a bit of a hassle unless you're printing lots... a good colour laser printer costs a fair bit too...
