Massive site for firmwide news distribution. Well over a year now. Launching this summer.

Some big tasks up there, they certainly keep you on your toes (and awake at night..).
Talk about managed "well". The last 5 months have been flat out, without working overtime until the last two weeks. Today, the last two hours of my working day was browsing the internet, the first time in 5 months I've managed to do this.

My largest website yet was for a water bottler/distributor that was stuck on a finite 3-month schedule for delivery to meet the company's IPO. Combine 1-part project manager mismanagement, 1-part idiot outsourced developers, and 1-part difficult internal team at the client body, and you end up with:
- about 20ish pages
- UI/UX that never got developed
- a pissed off client
- $15k over-budget
- last-minute site launch with the client at Wall St. opening day
- agency lost client
- everyone hating me because they needed a fall guyYah, fun shit for sure.
- many of us havel had at least one gig like this....vaxorcist

p.s. the annoying thing about this, I was adamant the whole site would validate as being XHTML strict. There's this guy who did most of the xml, his dodgy work is stopping the validation. "The site still works" he says. I feel like saying "your mouth still works" after me punching it.

- as above, remember thought, it's financial services, it'll be no BBC :(seeessess

...30 websites (all branching from 1), 35,000 pages, 2 stylesheets, and almost every page is different. That's what I've been working on for the last 5 months.
Working for a very large financial service company just now, who wanted a "re-skin". A simple re-skin would have been easy, but the state of the markup was unworkable and each page needed tidying up.
This has been the biggest project I've ever worked on, being wholly responsible for all html/css/accessibilty/browser testing/mobile devices, phew. I'm knackered and sitting down to a beer right now.
Site goes live tomorrow @ 2pm GMT.
Wish me luck :)
What's your biggest project?
