at the beginning it was easy, only had 5-10 jobs at a time - but just counted up today and we've got close to 50 active jobs + all the quotes and leads/referrals.
my partner and i live 100 miles a part, and are always looking at ways to keep our schedules in front of each other - just, curious about what others do to keep the jobs in view.

Well if Steve has an iphone, it apparently should be keeping pretty good tabs on him.

I'm always looking for new ways to do this. I'm totally A.D.D. when it comes to job tracking / time management software - can't stay focused on any one for very long. Basecamp lasted the longest, though.

I use basecamp with the local aiga chapter and It's pretty awesome. Though I get about 150 emails/month worth of updates from all the message threading.

tried basecamp, and a few others - but not really looking for project management. what would be ideal would be just an list that we could both access that has nothing more than the name of the job, the status, and a place to ad a note. so far, google docs has been the best answer, sort of an online white board really.

it sounds to me like you need something like ms project... you can view your project list in the cloud as well as the percentage complete beside each project and each. basecamp is horrible for this sort of thing.

@showpony - that sounds about right. lots of orders are nothing more than reorders of business cards / stationary and so on. just dont like it when small things slip thru the cracks.

At work we just switched to TimeFox. Really clean, really customizable menus. You can set it up so you can see as much as you want.
I would definitely recommend if you want something really simple.

for anyone interested, just ran into this:

nothing special, but it does the trick pretty efficiently.

I use Billings 3. I like it for the most part. Don't like the invoicing options. I'm still typesetting them myself.

Thisisme, how does invoicing work with TimeFox?
