Video Q - interlacing

  use compressor to either deinterlace or interlace some of the footage.
  work either in I or P in fcp, but not mixed. I would go P, but if most of the footage is I, then go I.

  ask what they expect you to deliver and compressor your result as desired.

  Thanks uan,

  The end file will be an NTSC interlaced mov for SC broadcast. Most of the footage is progressive. Can I work in a progressive timeline with all progressive footage and then interlace the final output or is this bad practice. Since I know interlaced is my final output should I interlace the progressive footage 1st and work in an interlaced sequence?
