looks unique to me. the kerning is really tight in "ISL," I recommend opening that up to match "IDO"
- what are the colors?! do they represent anything?! why doesn't the shape become an L?!topic
- are you asking me?monospaced
- these are questions we should all be asking. surprised you worried about the type first. commendabletopic

that underline looks like a mistake
that green thing reminds me of a stapler...and is awkward with the letter forms you're using

Tried it without the underline yet?
I'd drop it because "a d v i s o r s" is creating a visual underline already.- I like the underline...it give the logo an organic quality, a clear statement that they're not rigidmonospaced

Only one that jumps to mind immediately is Embarq (now Century Link): http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/…
Wasn't sure if you're wanting feedback. If so, the text around your dividing line feels pretty snug, and the ever-so-slight angle in the dividing line feels a little too ever-so-slight. Maybe consider looking at a pair of options? One where the line is straight, and one where the line is more deliberate in its angle peak.

yeah the underline is weird....

tried it without the underline and had some overall balance issues. It was very top heavy.
The green is for money, the mark is a greater than sign which as BS as it might seem... really resinated with the brief I got from the client. It's also the shape of the island the company is based on.
I agree with the bunched letters on the 'isle'. going to tweak as much as I can.
Thanks for the feedback!
- as much as you can? as if there are forces against you doing so?topic
- physics... yes...ntslide
- it looks like two lidos overlapping actuallytopic
- physics? there's no gravity or density in software, you're worried about optics and visual balance so move the letters with your mousetopic
- yahtzeentslide
- and there is plenty of physics in software... More of a comment on my time today, I'm going to work on the letterspacing as much as time will allow... thanks.ntslide

Try setting "advisors" in a more legible sans serif

One gimmick per logo.
Either just go with, and accentuate, the horizontal rule — or get rid of the kink and go with the logo thing.

The > has a downward bias, which is generally a no-no. You want upward, which is where all the good, aspiring, promising things live.
And seconding the underline and kerning issues mentioned above.
