OK, so after consulting my paper Pantone spot uncoated book and selecting 7630U to use for what I'm working on, I come to find that it's nowhere to be found in Illustrator CS5's swatch list. WTF is this? What's the solution (if any)?
And no, it's not a pirated copy.

Ah. NVM. Seems that belongs to the Pantone+ series.

yep! pain in the ASS
once you install all your colors are out of numerical order and finding what you need is like pulling teeth

hate using the swatch books in illustrator... they need to let you add swatches like they do in indesign - by just typing in the number.

And while we're slamming on illustrator....
WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH SMART GUIDES IN CS5???
Smart guides my ass.

It kind of burns me that Adobe couldn't have been arsed to include the Pantone+ series in a software update. I had to:
a) Google the problem;
b) Find no reference to it all;
c) Swallow my pride, and ask QBN for help;
d) More or less accidentally stumble on the solution;
e) Download an update solution from the Pantone site.Come on, Adobe, stop fucking around.
- I believe Pantone+ was released about the same time as CS5, probably didn't make the cuthorton
- Doesn't prevent them from bundling it in a subsequent software update, now, does it?Continuity
