thanks, but I am looking for the basic instructions to how you use it. Most themes have an install video or something to guide you through
- ok_not_ok0
you login to your WP dashboard and you install the theme from there.

/*

* INSTALLATION

*/1. Upload the theme to your WordPress "Themes" folder.
2. Activate it.
3. Edit "settings.php" located in the "Grid-A-Licious" theme folder and save it.

I cant fully remember but the old one v1 you had to manually edit the settings.php file which had all the column widths, but as other said you really need to know the basics of wordpress and themes to start editing stuff

"ok thanks for the info, how do I go about editing the settings.php file as I know how to use wordpress and the themes"
You need to set your permissions of the settings.php file on your server so you can edit it.
You do the editing of the settings.php within wordpress
- so you obviously DON'T know HOW to use wordpress like you stated.Do some manual reading about installing and tweaking themes.
You'll need a decent knowledge of HTML and CSS for tweaking the themes to suit your taste and lots of hours of trial and error.

By the sounds of it, you shouldn't be touching the settings.
