Hi,
This is kind of a long shot but I'm pretty desperate!Does anyone have an IPad I can borrow for two important meetings Thur-Fri this week.
I plan to buy IPad2 which will be released on Friday so it feels kind of meaningless to buy one the day before.
I can offer a coffee/lunch/dinner/beer or whatever you prefer as a thank you!
/Martin!

just go buy one and return it later...

Will I get away with that even if I've used it?

If you can't find someone to lend it to you ... you can always rent it from Tekserve (in Flatiron).
I've rented from another company that's cheaper than Tekserve, but can't remember the name at the moment.

It's very, VERY unlikely a New Yorker would lend their iPad to a total stranger. But I wish you luck.

Apple is very liberal about their return policy, especially around new product time.
If you complain enough, you can practically get anything you want at their stores.

If you buy & return at Apple, there will be at least a 10% restocking fee. On some items there's an extra handling fee.
- It might be waived with new model arriving next dayraf

Apple's restocking fee and Tekserve's rental price seem to both land at $50...
- So then just rent it. I wouldn't want to deal with the hassle of dealing with Apple's store employees.randommail
