Watch the video on the home page then refresh the page. The video changes each time and gets more ridiculous to the point where the CEO is telling you jokes and about his speed boat racing website.
Who's idea do you think this was? Harvey's or the media company? At which point does it stop being kinda clever and just plain ridiculous?

- i could tell some speed boat racing jokes as well, but you wouldnt get them********

i actually thought it was quite good to begin with, low budget but endearing. as soon as he started making strange squeaks and waving his hands i started to cringe

that is 100% genuis.
It is an excellent use of video - encouraging people to contact them, use the search and request a demo is really well done.
why would you think this is ridiculous in a bad way?

keep reloading the page. i think the idea is good but they take it way too far
- that's what makes it fun - realistically how many people are going to view the homepage like 15 times?flashbender

the videos really endeared me to the guy. It's the kind of thing that can help a small brand stand out. he's obviously enjoying himself.
If I'm ever in the market for a water softener...

Well the site is not going to win any design awards, but the man in the videos comes across just fine, and there is a fun honest element to the clips without him acting like a moron.

I did like the idea but i never got told the joke. Now I'm upset.

Hi Guys. Harvey from the video here. Our webmaster noticed the increase in traffic and traced it back to you guys clicking on the home page. Entertaining!!
Sheen has it about right. Our customers love it. And most never get to the joke bit. Sorry the joke is not there. Whilst making the videos I ran out of steam and we never got around to it. For your information, most "marketing" people think our efforts are amateurish and poorly executed. But, we are now the largest mfg of domestic softeners in Europe so it works! So the conclusion is, don't listen to the marketing people.
Listen to your customers.
Best regards.
Harvey

its a genius idea helping folk out with a video and giving it that personal feeling.
its a shame its so lo-fi and "undesigned" though.
mind you, the un-designed feel works for a lot of companies- "undesigned" is part of the charm, I’d say... they don‘t try to make a rather boring product supersexypressplay

nice blue background on the video, they were too occupied to think about cookies and the various shots they didnt get a chance to think about the design. nice idea, but the design is dirty.
