Hey all,
So I just got a Nikon D7000, and want to film a coupe of interviews with it. Anyone have advice on a good interview mic and maybe a simple softbox for lighting?

we've used:
Sony ECM44'shttp://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr…
Wear full-ear-coverage headphones for your tests to make sure clothing ruffles don't mess up your sound, etc...
also we use a Zoom H4 for room tone and reinforcement, use a clapper to sync in post.
we used to use Sennheiser shotguns for the second mic, but we've switched to a nicely placed Zoom H4 + sometimes a byerdynamic shotgun....
RE: Softbox..... get one made for video, or two... I like the Calumet ones for video + Lowell lights... note that mounting a softbox on a video light may require $$$ adapters... but we use what we already have.... grids can be cool....

another vote for the zoom. Just remember to make a clapper for syncing audio later.

Just saw this. Thanks guys! I was actually thinking that maybe I need something a little more multipurpose, kinda like this:

quick maths based question:
if shooting 60fps, what speed should a song be playing, so it then plays at the correct speed played back at 25fps?

x2 + x.25 = 2.25 speed? i think?
