Logo concept?

  I've seem to see this a lot and can't seem to find a a plugin in Photoshop or illustrator that can do this effect with selected images to a logo. My client wants me to create their logo out of surrounding photos and people.

  Any idea where I can get started with something like this?

  obvious, your client isn't the pro on this subject. might be the time to have a serious talk with them. and if they still don't get it. either do the sh... or fire them.
