I have a 1986 Bedford CF2 Panel van. Its a bit knackered. I'm restoring it slowly.
I want the bodywork to be typical ww2 grey, and everything else black. All semigloss, not matte.
Question is, should I do the Rustoleum roller special which will take up my time but only cost me £50, or should I get it done by a professional for £2000.
Underneath the ailing bodywork, the van is a rock solid dream.

do it yourself and spend the cash on something else

get the right side sprayed by a pro for £1000 and do the left side yourself for £25. so long as you park on the left side of the street, you'll be golden.

I like the rugged look myself, my ailing bodywork makes me more manly. Liposuction and plastic surgery are way too shiny and, well, new.

i just wrapped on like that. used a new kind of control-tac with webbing in it, gives it a crazy sheen.
this doesn't answer your question, but if it were me, i guess i'd wrap it. or take it apart and have it powder coated.

Have thought about wrapping, but the costs in the UK for wrapping a van are HEUUUUUMUNGOUSNESS.
