InDesign + custom strokes/rules

  Is there a way to get 'real' custom with InDesign strokes similar to the wavy stroke they offer? I'm looking to create a paragraph rule that looks like waves with peaks and crests for an article on water I'm working on.

  I'd just create the waves in illustrator, copy and paste into indesign, create a library object then insert into the text box where appropriate.
