Didn't think it would be long before the finger was pointed at a videogame...

I heard somewhere that it was a Chechen Islamic extremist...but really, who the fuck would know. The reporter's source was probably Twitter...

Any information on the bomber?
I think we can all assume he was an Islamic extremist. Or he was black. Or another minority you wish to pick out of a hat. (joking btw)
- well, not to far from the truth though, it generally is one of the above. tisk, tisk, tisk...chilamont

How awful. RIP. Poor people.
I wonder how long until they blame MW2 / computer games in general.

Viking, don't be a lefty twat. If you read my post, you may have understood. The fact the Chechens have been treated appallingly does not mean this is not a terrorist act - simple. If you think what the Russians have perpetrated is also terrorism, good on you - you may be right. But don't for a minute try and dress this up as anything other than a vile, disgusting act of terrorism.
- I agree 100%. My point is, Russia blames a lot of violence on the Chechians when in facts its their own special forces...VikingKingEleven

What's also interesting is that the article linked doesn't use the word terrorism...the term only pops up in quotes. So BBC may be being more impartial than you give them credit for.
- I went to several sites to find coverage... BBC being more neutral as always appreciated.SeriousFreelancing

Neither side can be excused in this. How was it defensible when Chechens took a school full of children hostage?
- So you're ready to talk now?SeriousFreelancing
- The time to sympathize with Chechen rebels is not after they just slaughtered a bunch of people...am I being clear enough?abettertomorrow

You tell me when you're emotionally fit to discuss Chechnya and Russian relations, and how the media has warped "history".
- abettertomorrow0
Whats with you dude...its a valid point but not the time to discuss is not when dozens of innocent people have been killed.
- I'm such a terrible person, and you're... Billy Buttercup? Why are you getting personal AGAIN?SeriousFreelancing

What do you call a freedom fighter? A US soldier in Afghanistan?
My point is that the labeling is getting out of hand...
- JSK0
Terrorist = freedom fighter = ally = enemy = military = etc
Just depends on which side of the blade you are facing.
- abettertomorrow0
Both sides are pretty vile...whatever you call them
I agree with georgesIII on this

I fuckn hate this planet.
- BusterBoy0
Fuck me...someone walks into a public airport with a suitcase full of explosives and blows it up killing 35 people. What the fuck do you call this person...a freedom fighter?
Argue your point that Putin is a terrorist all you like - it is quite possibly a legitimate train of thought. But don't try and label this as anything other than a vile act of terrorism.
- Thank you.HijoDMaite
- Uhh. What? You're delusional

ha...
A Chechen is probably responsible.
My point is that the media uses the label, terrorist, far too loosely and generally. Maybe to create a foggy enemy... good vs evil.
Ask any Chechnyan about terrorism and they'll point at Putin, but it's the media that now calls Chechnyans terrorists... all in the game to warp us into thinking one way or the other... sans Leary quote
