yo btw whats up with qbn asshats suggesting 100/day? in my experience, the motion designers i've met with 5-6 years in the industry, working at places like imaginary forces and psyop, charge no more than 650-700/day. and that's people with five more years of experience than me and 3d capabilities. do qbn'rs just make up numbers for daily/hourly rates?
- I think they were talking 100K per yearAncillary
- so suggesting i request 100k instead of 60k, alright coolmcmillions

I'd love to go freelance, sleep in everyday, choose my own work, work on my own projects when I want, but I'm too much of a pussy. I always take the full time work

I actually freelanced fulltime for a year. Had it's pros and cons.
- like permalance at one place? it's definitely nice to have both the steady locale and freedom of self-declared vacation daysmcmillions
- I had 2 permlance, and other clients. Had a couple of designers help me out.pinkfloyd
- Things slowed down towards the end though :(
I work at one of the companies nowpinkfloyd

definitely taking the job—going to ask for 62k per year and see what their counter-offer is. after that, fisticuffs

If you don't take the fulltime, where will they be? Keeping you on at freelance. They aren't going to bother with going to find someone else, when you know how to do what they want. So, you can stay there freelance as long as you like, probably.
So, just hang tight, and keep poking around for something better.
