It's a cool device, but as people have pointed out on other blogs, think of what you can buy with that money? You can buy two synths that are better than that with about the same money.
I admit, it's cool and would be so much fun to play around with, but cost-wise it would be throwing money away.

Two synths that are better than that for $799? I bought a Waldorf Blofeld last year for $500 but it was to replace my Nord Lead 2, that replaced my Yamaha An1x... They're all very similar... I'm looking at the creative potential of the OP-1 in the way it's sequencer is structured other than just the synthesis/ sampling capabilities...
