"It is with great sadness we announce that Trish Keenan from Broadcast passed away at 9am this morning in hospital. She died from complications with pneumonia after battling the illness for two weeks in intensive care.
Our thoughts go out to James, Martin, her friends and her family and we request that the public respect their wishes for privacy at this time.
This is an untimely tragic loss and we will miss Trish dearly - a unique voice, an extraordinary talent and a beautiful human being. Rest in Peace."

Total fucking shame—she had an amazing voice and they had an amazing series of releases. R.I.P.

and a design note: all(?) of the Broadcast album art was done by Julian House of Intro in the UK (http://www.introwebsite.com/). He's also the man behind The Focus Group, with whom Broadcast collaborated on an excellent album and single.
goddamn R.I.P. though.

lol @ mcmillions.
I state some fact and you proclaim your desire for my death.
less stress for you might help out your uncontrollable outbursts.
to answer your question though, I likely haven't died because of a difference in health practices and maintaining it- i didn't proclaim my desire for anything. i'm just curious why an internet troll didn't die instead—seems...odd?mcmillions

all internet anonymity aside, i'm curious why you felt it necessary to comment in such an arguably callous way in response to somebody's death. it's really disrespectful.

statistical fact as callous? you should read a dictionary. i said nothing positive nor negative about the passing of this woman. she is a stranger, a number in these statistics. I can ask you in return, why the other 150,000+ that will pass today will not get any attention or condolences from you. her passing makes up 0.00000625% of deaths that will occur today. will you be using your standpoint to defend or mourn their loss? my statement merely shows how common the passing is so that it may be more understandable to those selfish enough to believe her passing has taken something from them personally.

- nah, you bringing them up in such a callous way is... callous.SeriousFreelancing
- No stranger to me. She was a friend of my boyfriend and many people I know. Lovely girl. FU.nessdog

- don't feel like responding. nobody here needed consoling—people just wanted to pay their respects, of which you have very littlemcmillions

broadcast has released some really incredible music. been a huge fan since noise made by people and the angel remix on casino classics. this is really bloody sad.

A true talent... I was lucky enough to have caught a few of their shows over the years. Voice of an angel. RIP.

at home i have a few mp3s of their 90's live gig at All Tomorrow's Parties which i listen to on the regular. can't seem to find it in the google though.

@odds if you're mother was raped would you be ok with me letting you know how many strokes on average it takes for a man to reach ejaculation? I mean it's just a statistical fact.
The "callous" way you responded had nothing to do with what you said but rather when you chose to say it. When other people are remembering somebodies life and paying respects to somebody who played a role in their life it is usually in good form not to be an asshole at that time.

Aw man, even when I clicked on the thread I was thinking it couldn't be... RIP Trish.
