considering the size of the front element and the fact that they're claiming that it's a full frame sensor i've got a gut feeling that it's part prototype and part stunt.

Tucker Spofford is a user experience designer at Artefact, the company behind this concept.
As he playing the part of an interested member of the assembled throng, viewing this camera as though its something he's not seen before, like an average joe-shmo, I think its fair to conclude this video was entirely planned.
But I don;t care, I want the camera. Give me the camera. Take my wife as down payment.

You can also see a hole through the camera with the 'lens' on.
I get sick of concepts that are a million years away, probably 6, maybe 10 years. But this isn't that far and a well done promo viral.
