Carson is definitley in the designer top ten of all time.

ive never been a fan of carson.
also doesnt anyone else think calling the magazine 'CARSON' is a bit self-gratifying / self-obsessed?
particularly as it will feature varied art works and not works associated with the Carson style.

Hm, @Brownjohn if it were damage caused by say, a kid shitting on his slides, I bet he wouldn't show them. If it's 911 or the Berlin Wall or the Tsunami then the impact alone gives it a wow. Just saying - not seen the work so can't really comment but y'know what I mean!
Did he pay for the beer? If so I like his work, even the damaged stuff.

It would be really interesting to see a new reinvented Carson, with all new work with a new approach to design. But based on that new homepage design for Carson Mag it looks like he is just regurgitated the same shit sorry to say...

I'm sure Carson is a really nice guy. I attended one of his lectures when I was in school and found it entertaining. I'd love to go surfing with him. I understand that we're discussing personal taste here, but there are at least a couple designers in this very thread whom I'd rather work with on any given project. Reason being, I can expect them to mold their style to a client's brief, rather than the other way around.
