I recently did a fresh install of OSX and software on a machine. In Photoshop when I view guides they have like 30% transparency on them and makes it difficult to see on lighter objects. The bézier curves are also much lighter. I've Googled and poked around preferences with no luck. Any ideas on how to adjust/fix?

in the preference section you can change the color of the guides.
Go to preferences>>>>>>, guides, grids, slices and counts.

Posted on Adobe. This did the trick.
"Try turning off the anti-alias guides in the prefs. Prefs > Performance > GPU Advanced Settings > Anti-Alias Guides and Paths"
