I'm looking for some ideas for creating a new intranet for my place of employment (digital agency). I'm keeping it hush hush, and don't want to get them involved (call it brownie points for me, or us, if you like :o) We badly need a new intranet though.
Anyone know of some great examples to get some ideas from?
My ideas so far:
Separate idea lounge for the front-end/back-end and creative teams. This, of course, will be like a blog/forum. Anyone in that team can post topics, and chat within existing topics.
Pulling through the companies latest twitter/flickr posts to show on the homepage.
Pulling through some rss feeds of the latest industry news via yahoo pipes. These feeds will be from the likes of "the drum" and other creative outlets.
Beyond that, I'm stuck. Hoping to do it in html5/css3/jquery as we know shit about browsers :o)
Any further ideas would be very much appreciated!
