It bugs me that it looks so much like ©. seeessess' flipped © works better.

being somewhat biased to the Designer/AD of the CC project, i like the direction she took it in, and i always love her ability to do clean, simple, and smart motion/broadcast design branding without going into the 3d madness that most networks obsess over. Solid type and color work too. Lots of clean edits, cuts, and pacing without things flying around out of control. It's a very appropriate approach and direction for the network.

I'll go out on a limb and say I think it's fantastic. And I'd bet the © association is intentional. It fits with their whole "poking the establishment in the eye" schtick. Not too be taken too seriously. It's comedy, after all.
- I'm all for poking fun at "the establishment" but this doesnt do it.74LEO

copyright and freedom of speech and press are 2 different things.

...aptly resembles the copyright symbol since its parent company Viacom hates it when you share their stuff on YouTube.

If they want to stick it to the FCC, the establishment and conservatives why did they pick such a conservative company to redesign their logo.
This should totally screaaam butt sex, drugs, porn ,fuck you in every way...almost.

isn't it too clean for Comedy Central. i like the logo itself but does it really fit the brand image? their jokes are gonna be less ass and farts with this logo

why so formal and sterile
- dbloc0
definitely like the old one better. It has personality.

i hate it when companies that do broadcast graphics do a logo redesign for one of their clients. Same thing happened with the Discovery Channel's logo.
It's usually "buy a year's worth of broadcast graphics and get a logo free."
