Constant Contact is driving my programmer nuts and costing me money in time spent troubleshooting how they handle our code.
iContact does a great job of letting us copy and paste and send but their backend and list management systems were designed by a two year old in 1992.
I want to move my e-commerce's and my clients' business to a new provider with a very intuitive and sophisticated list and mail management system, and that won't mess with our code.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm sure there've got to be some great smaller outfits beyond those two giants.
Thanks in advance.

I'll definitely check them out. I know that mailchimp is very designer friendly and advertises in the community. Thanks.

Thanks Velantim especially for the mail standards link: http://www.email-standards.org/ I've been saying all week that there should be something like this.
