totally like a movie.
makes me wonder how far things will go..... didn't someone point out here a while ago, that even hitler was smart enough to not go after the banks? (is, leave Switzerland alone) and 'jesus found out what happens when you fuck with the money lenders'...i'm loving watching all this happen, and have friends and family that have downloaded the 'insurance' from wikileaks, but i'm just kind of wondering at this point....how far will this go? what will be the fallout?

this is a equivalent of breaking a shop window. they'll get it fixed and move on. stop using your credit / debit card and pay only cash if you really want to stick it to them.

So is this just the website or like the entire visa / mastercard networks? in other words I'm assuming you can still use these cards because otherwise that would be huge.

>> Can they block e-commerce operations with these ddos attacks?
not very easily. If a webserver is being used to verify CC transactions, that can be knocked offline (although there are MANY!) which would kill online CC transactions. Brick & mortar transactions take place over phone lines still, I think, so they would continue.
