Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good book for learning Final Cut Pro. I have used premier before so i have a basic understanding editing.Basicly im looking for a book that will teach me everything from the best way to set up projects right through to the editing and color grading. I know that allot of this is probaly available on the net if i search it out but i think i book will be better as i was hoping to go through it over the christmas break when i wont have internet access all the time.

its not that hard, i taught myself in about a day or just fucking around..
- this depends on the person though, some might find it easy, some incredibly complexMiguex

although the color grading part is more than just a book..
requires color calibration etc etc..

Other than capturing video from a camcorder, I doubt there's anything Final Cut can do that After Effects can't do better, so here's my recommendation.
http://www.adobepress.com/bookst…Not trying to sound snotty, I just believe in AE that much.
- r u serious? AE has its place, but for simple ease of editing, FCP shits all over AEautoflavour
- yeah, editing is painful in AE, and I'm in it every day.DoTheMacarena
- i would never edit in AE.. i would do AE stuff in there, but straight editing, no wayautoflavour

The manual that actually comes with FCP is quite good at explaining things. The program also comes with a tutorial disk.
Otherwise, Peachpit usually has good technical books.
