What do you guys use to manage your photos on a mac?
I really dislike iphoto and have put up with it for my iphone but now I have a new camera I want something better.
To be honest Ideally i'd just have the camera mount as a drive on desktop and be able to go into the folder and take the pics from there, the good old fashioned way. But instead shitty iphoto loads up and I have to get them through there.
Is there a way to fuck off iphoto and just have the photos in a drive on my DT, or is there a nice alternative bit of software out there?
Cheers

I tried that dude, iphoto doesn't open but it doesn't appear as a drive anywhere... so basically nothing happens.. ?

Ok, I see your issue. It comes down to how you're attaching the camera. If you use a card reader attached to your Mac, it should present the card on your desktop like an attached drive.
- thanks for your help mate, image capture is perfect thoughADP

in your applications folder you should have an application called "Image Capture". you can make that the default app to load when a camera (not iPhone) is plugged in.
you can tell it to copy the images to where ever you wnat on the Drive.

There may be a "USB" or connection setting in the camera. Most advanced cameras have an option of connecting PTP or USB.
If you want your camera to mount as a drive, look for the setting in your camera, try the other option and reconnect.

You might have to change the setting on your camera so that it mounts as a drive on your desktop. Check your manual for the exact location.
This is an automated response.
