you can run django apps on google app engine. the only problem is that that you have to adjust your models to use the google datastore api:

Yes, I am going for it.
Hear really good things about DJango. Used PHP/MySQL / .NET, CakePHP in the past...But need a website with different languages/localization and DJango seems like the right choice.
Working on a very small project first to test the water... excited!
