I've been using the Pay version of Fontexplorer for some time now and just recently bought an iMac.
I'm conflicted as to whether to stick with it or move on. I've heard good things about Fontcase, but I'm concerned the comments are more about its UI design/looks and less about functionality.
Suitcase Fusion 3 is also an option, but I've not used Suitcase Fusion before and to be honest, haven't scoured around to read too much more about it.
I do like that you can comment on fonts and give them ratings in Fontexplorer which helps me organize them (I've accumulated way too many over the years), so it's got that going for it.
Has anyone tried a bunch and can offer some words of advice?

I recommend Font Book. It's free, and isn't loaded down with useless features.
