I noticed a little be of that change on the 2010, the slimmer lamps and grill, that is. The change is more obvious on the 2011.
I'm a big fan of the 2009 Jetta and the 2009 GTI, but I'm not sure what they're doing now... maybe they are aiming for a more mature audience. I'm sure that's the case.
