This new album really is good.
When you create and do amazing work, it really does allow you to say all the bullshit you want. Cant hate on him, cuz he is good at what he does.

The album has some amazing tracks for sure, I dont think it is a perfect 10 record as pitchfork put it, but its fine.
I just wish i never had to look at him or hear him talk.

whats up with some of you needing to hear validation from some music blog in order to like or dislike an album?
as a rule of thumb, remember this:
a) Whoever reviews an album, is just a guy like you and me, and that means he can have different taste in music, so what he/ she likes might not be your taste (and the other way around) this is perfectly fine.
b) When you work reviewing media, you get sent special packages that are more attractive and aim to lure you into giving a positive write up of the piece, to put is simple.. opinion can be bought.
Now go ahead and make your own mind about things, if you are going to trust a review, trust a review from a person you know and respect, that has no incentive in hyping it up commercially.

Miguex, I think the point about pitchfork was more about the fact that they generally are a lot more harsh on albums than most critics, yet they gave Kanye (a controversial producer, often dismissed by the music elite) a perfect score. It seems like a pretty big statement to me. I'm inclined to think its an impartial review. I mean out of all the artists out there, they apparently sell out to Kanye? I don't buy it.
But yes, reviews are just that. You've got to decide for yourself. I happen to love the album, but I can definitely see why some people won't like it.

Hate kanye & everything that he is --- but just heard a track on the radio, pretty damn amazing (minus his vocals). At the very least there's some genius producers doing their thing here...

Not sure if it deserves 10/10 because it's still kanye douchbaggery but this album has some serious beats. I especially love Power, and I usually can't stand hip hop.

Pitchfork has been giving 8-10 ratings for mainstream rappers for years. It's kind of like a joke at this point.
