Rosem gets in the mail:
– a cheque;
– or cease and desist;
– nothing.Bets are on.
- SteveJobs0
i say c. he wasn't asked or given permission to do this, so i doubt their checking their account balances at the moment. and to my knowledge, besides the domain, he's not infringing on any trademarks, so not sure a cease and desist will be sent.
i really do believe he should be up-front about how he's using QBN members sensitive data. he commented in one of the other three or four threads he's created, but newcomers may not be aware of what's actually happening when they click 'log in'. not cool

Wow! Really great work rosem!!
*Slow hand clap*

To clear some things up...
I'm not storing any information. I have no interest in your QBN account password. However I'm making no promises to how secure the information is when it gets sent from my server to QBN's server. In the future I can look into securing that connection. *USE AT YOUR OWN RISK*
Secondly, I would gladly hand over the code to QBN if they asked for it. The app would run much faster, and we wouldn't have to worry about the security issue I mentioned above.
I created this app because I try not to go on Facebook, Twitter, QBN, and other sites while I'm working. I most frequently check when I'm on the bus, waiting for my latte, etc... This makes it much easier for me, and at the same time gives me a portfolio pieces to get a PAYING mobile project.
Thanks!
- I'll have a full write up of how your username/password is used with v1.0rosem

dude, i don't think anyone cares about the connection from your server to qbn's, hahaha!! that's not what's at issue. instead, it's whether you are dumping the data from the input fields to a text file or database before sending the request to the server.
it's the fact that we can't see what's going on, on your server, not your 'unsecure connection', becuase there's no such thing. you can't encrypt the request in any way if the server can't decrypt it.
the only way to ensure everyone their data is safe is by writing it ALL in javascript and hitting the QBN server directly. that way, they monitor the requests themselves AND see the code themselves.
sorry, had to help you out there.

can't see what I'm typing if I write more than 4 lines of type and I can't tap in-between letters to edit. last version seemed to work better. oh crap this is more than 4 lines I have no idea what I'm typing.

Almost makes me wish I had a fancy mobile.
Well done, man!
How much time have you spent on this, if you don't mind me asking?
- johfiner0
Thanks! It works well on Android.
The only issue I noticed is the hardware "return" button returns you to the previous website, not the post listing or previous page.
- I love the notes feature & swiping to view the next one. Very nice ...johfiner

Wow, such a nice update from the previous version. there's a few bugs here and there but you pretty much nailed it.
@SteveJobs, man, why are you being such a dick. You have your own app that you don't release and it's far better, yada yada, we get it. If you have constructive criticism then great, help out, give some hints. But lose your "I want some attention too" attitude, you're being a douche.
- SteveJobs0
ESKEMA, haha, perhaps i am, perception is reality. but his intentions aside, i didn't like the fact he might be pulling the wool over anyone's eyes with his reluctancy to explain how his app does what it's doing. seems kinda shady to me. and his comment on 'securing the connection' was funny, so i called him on it.. nothing out of character for anyone here, that's for sure. in fact, that was me showing restraint, haha
anyway, i don't recall stating my app is any better or even saying anything that might imply that. if i needed the attention that bad, i would have released mine six months ago...
- SteveJobs0
and for the record, i think it would be great if QBN took his code and reused it for an official version. seems like that'd be an honor!
- inteliboy0
They should! I wonder if the QBN lords even use qbn or enjoy this place...
- slappy0
like the way notes work, nice job!
