Is there a way with AS2 to set a frame action that basically just says, "pause the playhead for X seconds, then play next frame"?

Set Intervals I believe

You can use setTimeout and an anonymous function
stop();
setTimeout(
function ():Void {
play();
}, 2000);You can put anything in the function, the duration is in milliseconds
- WrappedInBooks0
var int:Number = setInterval(2000, playFrame);
function playFrame(){
gotoAndPlay(frame #);
}the 2000 is in miliseconds
- and clearInterval(int) goes in the functionWrappedInBooks

If you only want it to trigger the function once, then use setTimeout. Use setInterval if you want it to continuously execute the code within the function.

::BUMP::
Can someone tell me what the function is for the "place+" AS?
I'm trying to load multiple external images into 1 mc and can understand the "place+" url function.
Thanks!

I always wished there was a "whereExactlyIsThis" function in AS
- trace(this) ...inside of the movieclipfyoucher1
- that'll save your life, trace(this).
Then you'll run into an undocumented bug and have to redo your whole days work.mikotondria3
