Stage.scaleMode is AS2
Only do what PonyBoy/Faction18 say if you need objects within the SWF not to scale and if you need them to stay in specific areas (i.e. a liquid layout)
Using scaleMode, you can have it so the objects scale to the screen size...or have them NOT scale (What Ponyboy says about theNOSCALE param). Depends on what you want to do.
- Well that code doesnt seem to do anything when I try it in AS2.CygnusZero4

Damn, I just realized that these stage scripts need AS3, but the problem is Im modifying a 3 year old animation built with AS2, that uses a lot of scripts no supported by AS3.
Its unbelievable that I cant just tell this damn thing to to play full screen and scale to fit the screen. Everything is so overly complex in flash.

perhaps set your scaleMode to NOSCALE...
stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode. NO_SCALE;
and as Faction18 said... use a stage listener to then scale your objects based on the stage width / height
stage. addEventListener ("resize",myResizeFunction);
then I think you'll only need the one fscommand allowing fullscreen to be true..
- sounds complicated, im not really a programmerCygnusZero4

take off allowscale.
use Stage.scaleMode instead to resize the SWF accordingly. You'll have to look up the parameters for scaleMode in the help section. I 'think' what you're looking for is Stage.scaleMode = “noBorder”; This will scale it w/o distortion and letterboxing but will crop it if it needs to, so it fills up the screen entirely. Screentime (software used to make screensavers) actually has a nice write up about this.

There is no HTML, this is an EXE.

you need to update the value of the param “allowFullScreen” to be “true” (in your html).
- Faction180
you need to add some stage alignment, stage scaling, and listeners

I have an animation that I want to pull up fullscreen, and also rescale to the screen.
The problem is with the script below, it doesnt pull up fullscreen. When I remove the allowscale the fullscreen will work. What's the deal?
fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
fscommand("allowscale", "true");
