I've got this logotype I'm working down to three different fonts, but one is a script/brush type and needs a few considerable modifications for legibility and aesthetics to make it viable. Anything I need to consider here? It's a free font on dafont and comes with no licensing information or restrictions that I know of.
I'd create the font from scratch myself if I had the tools and talent, but the available glyphs from this set provide enough strokes to build out the letters the way i like.

Too subtle, Steve.

if it's for a logogtype, why the need to create the entire font? no need to worry about metrics, kerning pairs, etc. right? just make the letters you need in illustrator or whatever and build your word/mark.
