So I was visiting Site Inspire, and I saw a simple tag categorizer in the side bar that allowed you to switch between tag types. I'm designing my agency's blog and I want a way to separate tags in the sidebar column design. I've been looking for tutorials on the subject, but I was wondering if anyone had any short, concise jquery tutorials on how to do this.
I would like to avoid using a weighty plugin or something and just write it myself, but if there's a light one I am definetly open to that. Thanks for any help. Here's the link to what I'm talking about:

Doesn't this type of functionality come default to wordpress?

Were using tumblr actually, the boss wants this all built in-house, and I know the tumblr docs front and back as opposed to wordpress with which I'm still struggling with. But tumblr is a good platform without comparing to wordpress though

not sure how to do that in tumblr. in wordpress you'd create a custom taxonomy, which would let you categorize tags.
