When I hook my digital cam up, and import some photos through iphoto, where does it put the pix?
There is an pictures folder under my username, but of course it doesnt put them there, that would make too much sense.

can you run another utility to import them from the camera support site? that way you can keep a folder of your original photos.

There should be a package called 'iPhoto Library' in your Pictures folder...it's not there?
- Its there, I found it now, I have so many photos in there I just couldnt see it.CygnusZero4

And if it's there, right-click to view package contents

skip iphoto altogether. use the image capture app and place it where you damn well please.

you can also right-click a photo in iphoto and select show file and it'll pop open a finder window with the file selected

you should also note that iphoto keeps a folder for originals, and a duplicate with edits.
if you're just archiving jpeg snapshots of friends and families, it is kinda nice to have iphoto revert to original.
