I'm not going to post pics but the reason I ask is I was in a pretty serious car accident 20 years ago.
I was pretty lucky that's it's nothing you can see while fully clothed but when I take off my shirt or wear shorts I get a little self conscious.
I guess I should be more self conscious about my beer belly, at least I can do something about that but I'm stuck with my zipper belly.- glad you made it through fooler2; you can only see it as a character builder... ; )ideaist

Depends on their age, the younger they are the more they might expect you to be airbrushed and perfect. All you can do is prepare by saying "you should know I have a scar ...". The rest is up to them.
Alternatively, make it sound interesting, make up a back story about having been a test pilot and the prototypes didn't always work, "yeah, it left a scar but what are you gonna do?"

I've got a scar from between my nipples down to 2 inches below my belt line from a surgery resulting from a car crash 16 years ago. Injuries were a punctured lung, ruptured spleen and diaphragm, bruised liver and kidneys, shattered elbow and fractured hip.
I was the passenger in a car that passed 5 cars in a no-passing zone (on a curve). We collided with another car, and we went off the road and down a 15 foot embankment. I flew through the window space (it had blown out on impact) and flew about 35 feet through a heavily wooded area. The EMT's had to search a few minutes to find me.
I was on a respirator and in a coma for about 5 days, and spent a little over a month in the hospital, with about 6 months of physical therapy.
My right arm is still fucked up, I can't extend it all the way, and it moans and groans with the weather is rainy.
Given the scenario, I am lucky to be alive today.

Just a few aches, pains and bad back but that could be from just getting older (upper 30's). No limp, I still snowboard, mt. and road bike. I even started jogging this year (thinking I would never be able to do it after breaking a pelvis and compound fracture 2 bones in my legs) after seeing an Iraq war veteran with more serious injuries than me finish a marathon. I can't even do a 5K but I'm working up to it.

Just one above my knee when I jumped off a dock into a lake when I was about 8 and was impaled by a metal rod. It looks like a sperm.
