What look and feel comes to mind when you hear the word sustainability?
I'm thinking the visual language of green, eco etc.
I always think of untreated brown paper, friendly hand made etc.
Any visual examples would be really appreciated. Also, any examples of slightly more premium end of this scale
cheers

I don't think there's an aesthetic related to sustainability; maybe just a bunch of clichés?
When I think of design & sustainability, I think of appliances which have user serviceable parts, like a Dualit toaster or a Waring blender.
Appliances which never need to be thrown away, and will potentially last a lifetime.
Imo, something is either sustainable or not - it's not possible, or desirable, to make something appear more sustainable than it is.
- Dump the packaging and design, and it's already more sustainable.lukus_W

Ok, what I meant was, the clichés.
I but also good examples of the cliches. Things that look 'green' on first glance whether they are or not.the aesthetic of untreated brown paper etc
- a big cliche is a leaf in their logo(s). hah.akrokdesign

Other than those mentioned I would think mostly pictures of nature, mountains, trees, streams, etc.
I was just looking at this member's portfolio. The 4th picture remind me of the potential aesthetic.

On a side note, it is kind of a drag that so much of the info on being 'green' out there is really just about buying more products.
